Weddings at Mewburn Park
Mewburn Park Homestead is set on 20 acres of gardens, and surrounded by our family’s farm of 300 acres. With this, there is ample space on our grounds to have your wedding day all in the one location. From your ceremony, to cocktail hour and photos through to your reception - you will enjoy stunning backdrops.
Our aim here at Mewburn Park is to create a relaxed day & night for our couples and their family and friends. We are here to make your dream a reality and offer our advice and experience to help you create a wedding day that represents you both.
How it works?
Choose the venue hire package that suits you best. Then add the beverage package and choose one of our hand picked caterers for everything food. We let you choose your ceremony spot (almost) anywhere you like, helping you to create that dreamy wedding ceremony that is unique for you two.
Mewburn Park is a licensed venue for up to 130 guests. For a more intimate celebration we have a minimum of 50 adult guests. For an event over 130 people we can apply for an extension for our liquor license, please contact us for more information.
Ceremonies
Have your ceremony in front of one of Victoria’s oldest brick buildings, the Mewburn Park Stables, or in our lush Homestead Gardens. If the weather is not on our side, we have a plan B organised for you, the ‘Old Farmer’s Shed’ - with its beautiful herringbone brick floor and old wooden beams. Once your ceremony is completed, your guests enjoy roaming canapés and drinks from our pop-up bar, while you cruise the property with your wedding party taking photos.

Marquee Reception
Our 25x10m clear-view marquee is the perfect blank canvas for your wedding reception.
Surrounded by the Homestead Gardens, you and your guests will feel a world away from the everyday.
The clear-view marquee comes with all the extras such as our beautifully polished concrete floor, fans, electric ceiling heaters, 1000 fairy lights, dimmable festoon lights and our extensive outside deck. A not so sexy (but important) fact is that the toilets are just a few steps away from the marquee entrance. There is also ample power in the marquee for live music, DJs and any feature lighting that you wanted to install.
The clear-view marquee can seat up to 130 seated or cocktail style. Included in the venue hire is all our furniture; light toned woods and white classic chairs and a set of lounges in the smoking area.
We can cater for up to 160 guests seated/180 cocktail style on request.

Venue Hire Options

Take all the time you need on this amazing day! Arrive in the morning to get ready in the Retreat Suite (access from after 8.30am), where you can relax and prepare yourself for your special day - absolute stress free. We’ll supply Champagne/refreshing drinks, croissants & nibbles and a grazing box while you enjoy being pampered with your tribe. This package also allows for an earlier start of your ceremony, since the venue is all day exclusively booked for your wedding (15 hour venue hire).

Getting ready at your family’s home? Well then this package is starting with your ceremony from 4pm onwards. This is an 8hr venue package and includes all furniture and marquee hire.

5hr marquee hire package. Having your ceremony somewhere else, no worries. Whether you wish to celebrate your marriage with family and friends under the stars with an open air wedding reception or wish to celebrate in a marquee, Mewburn Park Homestead is here to make your dream a reality.

2.5hr Garden or Stables package. Mewburn Park offers a variety of picturesque ceremony locations within 4 acres of gardens, giving you that special location needed for your moment with family and friends. This might be in the lush gardens, the heritage listed stables courtyard or down the meandering driveway. After your ceremony, your photographer will have time to take plenty of photos and your guests enjoy drinks & nibbles in the Mewburn Park gardens.

Mewburn Park is offering an intimate ‘elopement style’ wedding package, this includes location and the beverage package for your guests. This is for the lovers out there who want only their nearest and dearest around them, whilst still enjoying a stunning location and excellent service. This package is designed for a Thursday or Sunday function, from 5pm until 10pm (earlier start on request).

Beverage Package Options

With this package, you start your Ceremony Drinks with a tab with a minimum spend per person. Once we walk into the reception marquee at appr. 6.30pm, the 5hr beverage package will start. And ends at 11.30pm. The package always needs to go to the end of the night.

You might start your ceremony a little later, then a 6hrs package is more suitable. Time can change to your time frame. And ends at 11.30pm. The package always needs to go to the end of the night.

With this package, your guests can enjoy beverages from after your ceremony drinks all the way into the reception marquee and through to bar close at 11.30pm. We can alter the starting time of your beverage to the starting time of your ceremony, please get in-touch for more info on this.

Mewburn Park’s beverage package has a famously vast selection.
The beverage package is very generous and includes:
WINES: BTW Zilzie Sparkling, Moscato, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, Cab Merlot and Bay of Stones Chardonnay and Shiraz as well as local Avon Ridge Cab Sav and Sauvignon Blanc and 0% sparkling bubbles.

BEER: A selection of assorted Australian beers, Carlton Dry and Carlton Draught; Great Northern mid strength and James Boags lights as well as a 0% Peroni’s will always be ice cold in the fridges for you. If you like to add a different beer, please be in touch.
If you like an upgrade to Corona’s or Peroni’s, it is a $4 additional cost per person.
CIDERS: Our local tasty Gippsland Ciders either Apple or Apple & Pear are such a refreshing alternative.
NON ALCOHOLIC: For all the non drinkers, we have our delicious alcoholic free ‘Lady Mewburn’ Mocktail Punch ready; as well as sparkling mineral water, soft drinks/juices, coffee & tea.
There are many add ons, such as welcome drinks, cockatils & co. Please get in touch for more info.
Our beverage package can be amended in 15mins brackets and tailored to special requests, such as upgrades to locals wines or craft beer. Contact us for all details on package inclusions & upgrades. All packages include glassware and bar attendants with RSA certificates.
