Wet weather Plan

Victoria is known for it’s 4 season in one day, so let’s plan for it!
The farmers shed is our new space, just in-case the weather is not in our favour.

Put a picture in your head of your perfect wet weather ceremony, that’s our advice for our couples. Why would I you ask! When your wedding day comes, and the weather is not in our favour, we slide straight into Plan B, still a dream ceremony, and it’s not such a surprise for you both. The weather is always the one big topic, because you cannot influence it (as much as we all want to!).
It’s the one thing we cannot control. But we can promise you this - all the emotions you feel on that day are not weather related. The fresh feeling of just getting married is the best, no matter kind of weather. #peptalk

What’s Plan B? The Old Farmer’s Shed, once used for cattle sales, has an amazing herringbone brick floor and wooden beams.

The industrial shed filled with rustic textures gives shelter from the rain and wind. The festoon lights help make it a cosy space and once fully set up with chairs for your ceremony, bar tables & stools, it feels like a warehouse in Brunswick. As an add on we have enhanced the area with modern lounge furniture matching the white bar. As always, we like to honour the heritage, but bring modern elements to it. It’s a mix of old & new.

We also placed some trees and palms to bring ‘the lux garden feel’ you get at Mewburn Park. Your cocktail hour will commence here, with all your guests staying dry, safe and happy, whilst you wander the ground for some photos.

Another option is, that when the weather is one of those 50% chances of rain days, we will try to have your ceremony set up either in the garden next to The Stables or The Stables courtyard, but have your cocktail hour in The Farmers Shed. That way we can make a real last minute decision for your ceremony. Always bare in mind, that not only you (5hrs of hair & make up) and your guests prefer to stay dry and not drenched, but also your other vendors and their equipment, from musicians to photographers and videographers - for them to do their best job, they need their equipment dry. We are all on the same page though, wanting the most amazing wedding ceremony for you. So be rest assured that we will do everything we can for it to be the most memorable ceremony. #wetweathermagic
